Legislative Awards Nomination Form

The submission deadline for the Legislative Advocacy Award & Legislative Liaison Awards is April 11, 2024

Legislative Advocacy Award (Plaque)

Legislator nominees must demonstrate support of the DWCF in actions and words, a voting record in the most recent legislative session that strongly supports the DWCF platform and values, and they must not have previously won the award.

Since the 2024 Legislative Session ended on March 8, 2024, it will be necessary to consider the voting records from the 2023 Legislative Session. To assist clubs with this information, we have attached a summary of eligible Democratic legislators with their 2022 and 2023 People’s First Report Card grades from Progress Florida and Florida Watch at Florida’s First Report Card (floridareportcard.com). This annual average grade assignment according to the final floor votes on approximately 30 bills each year that match up closely with our DWCF positions on priority positions on priority bills discussed in our Legislative Team meetings and at Tally Days.

The summary also includes a list of legislators who are NOT ELIGIBLE due to being a prior award recipient or because they did not serve in the 2023 State Legislature. Click here to download the Summary.
